Some pictures and notes from Liz Norquay (MRS Secretary) of the workday on Sunday July 3rd:
After frosty start the day was glorious – sunny and flat calm. What a
relief it was to have a day without weather worries! We did some pricking out and tidying at the nursery, however the main task was moving water tanks up to new location. Chris Green checked weta punga release site.
Liz Maire sent the first photo with the comment: “The frost that greeted the volunteers on arrival – former ranger Dave Jenkins said that he had never had a frost like that in his time.”
